Jun 21st, 20212014 Vintage. 13.8% Alcohol. Not as much juniper berry funk as the 2012 Cayuse Cailloux Syrah but it’s still there, I guess diluted by Cabernet Sauvignon. Just not my preference.

On the nose there’s that signature Cayuse funk - mushrooms and umami. On the palate blackberry, chocolate, graphite. Complex, layered and delicious. Can probably do with a few more years of bottle age, but very enjoyable now too.

Extremely yummy. Had with some tenderloin, great combo. Has the funk from Milton Freewater but not overpowering. Delicious.
