Peter Martin Ray Vineyard Chardonnay

The Chardonnay that saved my anniversary dinner after the aforementioned Perrieres premoxing.

This wine always carries a distinct signature of yellow tree fruit, a damp earthiness, and an almost saline-like minerality underlining the wine. Also, texturally I find this to be the most rich of the Ceritas line-up, approaching an oily like mouthfeel but always balanced its acid. The vintage also seemed to express a little more cut than I remember, it’s driving along the palate beginning to end. The 2014 is showing great, beginning to uncoil and reveal it’s true nuance. White WOTN for me

All secondary flavors, some tea, acid and lemon peel.

Perfect bday wine with dinner featuring the bounty of spring - soft shell crabs & veggies! This wine had the body to work thru the entire meal but also amazing purity of fruit!! Thanks @Ceritas Wines ! And @David McCarus and @figrestaurant

I don't think there are too many California chardonnays that can top this. I know of one or two that may rival it, but Ceritas keeps churning out beautifully acidic chard!

Fine to drink now, fine to drink years from now

Found this to be the most Burgundian of the flight. Mineral, yellow orchard fruits, richer and round texture but not overly heavy.

Crystalline Chardonnay

Sleek, spicy, creamy Santa Cruz Chardonnay. Some oak but I might not have noticed if not tasted just after great Chablis.

Savory notes mix with citrus and mineral. Excellent acidity. Very fine.
