Estate Bottled Chalk Hill Sauvignon Blanc

Pretty boring, borderline average SB. Fruit is tropical with no hint of grassiness. Acid and zip are missing. Plenty ripe and it seems the mouthfeel is coming from oak. Why? Let SB be SB!

Appealing nose, fresh and filled with exotic fruits, and then the oak bomb arrived on the palate as this turns heavy and plodding. I believe they are attempting to reference Graves with this, and who am I to say they're wrong?

Wife's favorite wine. Nice citrus notes of lemon and pear. Very crisp

This was a unique SB. Super rich and oaked, more of a curio than everyday drinker.

Crisp, not heavy, reminds me of Cakebread Sauvignon Blanca at a lower price

Elegant nose of pear, banana and a bit of citrus. Flavors of grapefruit, minerals and a vanilla/buttery finish. Awesome with halibut fish tacos

Of all the SB this summer, this was the best.
