Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

For more than 4 decades, the Chappellet family has been crafting wines from fruit cultivated on the steep, rocky slopes of Napa Valley's Pritchard Hill. Tried another bottle. Aged for 8 months on French oak, (33% new) in its lees. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, citrus and honey with gentle floral scents. On the palate integrated fruit, apple, lemon and peach with balanced acidity and smoky oak. Lingering smooth finish ending with full fruit and oak tones. Very well done. A joy to drink.

Tropical fruits, some citrus, brioche, touch of butter. While oak is present it’s subtle to me. Light acid. First time trying this - didn’t know they made a Chard!

Deep straw color. Nose of pineapple. Touch of vanilla taste, then a slight toastiness flowed by a touch of butter and then pink grapefruit on the finish. No oakiness to be found.

Drinking everyday wines this week on the road. One of my go-to chards on a budget.
