Drinking nicely but could certainly hang out quite a bit longer. Cherries, leather, vanilla latte, cocoa, and white pepper + some greenness on the palate.

The venerable Helene Garcin. Awesome... makes me realize how good 2014s are. So pleasant out of the gate but so much evolution yet to come

On the nose; sweet, ripe; red cassis, dark cherries, strawberries, cherries & blackberries. Light vanilla & cinnamon, fragrant purple & red florals. The body and tannins are medium. The palate is ripe; blackberries, dark cherries & cherries, Strawberries, cola, light baking spices, dark moist soils, grainy volcanic minerals, full, round acidity with a round, rich finish.

Chateau is a 17 hectare estate located at the extreme east of the village of Saint-Emilion. A blend of about 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc with rich aromas of red fruits and cedar spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currants and blackberry with notes of licorice, tobacco and leather noting toasty notes. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and toasty character. Very Nice. Drinking well now!

My opinion and rating did not change compared to my first bottle 77 weeks ago. Good wine but based on its origin and pricetag I expected more from it.

Nice buy for the money. Dark honey, mixed with fig, cassis , black licorice and fresh fennel. Big plum and cassis on the palate for days. Also hints of salt. Drinking well with spicy Asian noms. 14.5%

Inky and really dense & tight - we had a small glass first night and decided to try again the next. Initially reductive, finally yielded ton of herbaceous accented black fruit, licorice, leather & tobacco, some pepper & spice and distinct vein of minerality. Classic Right Bank, just elegant & rich, broad & fat across mid-palate. Some kirsch liqueur, vanilla & Xmas spices flavors. Stayed away from Bordeaux of late due to cost & bottle variation but this came highly recommended and satisfied the itch. Young, this has stuffing for the long haul.

Med body, but on the lighter side. Easy to drink. Kinda get a taste of campfire, but it weirdly works. Somewhat dry finish to me.

Nice wine without a doubt but I got the impression it’s not revealing itself completely. Time will tell...
