Château Beauregard Ducasse
Graves Red Bordeaux Blend
Value Bordeaux is surely all about vintage. The 2016s, even at this low a price range, are ripe, concentrated and characteristic wines that hit the spot for the money. It’s been a while since I had BDX of any sort, and for a quick roast dinner tonight this really scratched that itch.
The nose opens with blackberry, cranberry, dried cherry and cedar all in quite pleasing balance - even a hint of menthol. The palate is less concentrated and more supple in feel, with gentle tannins, good acidity and great ripeness to the fruit, and the finish very satisfying. All in all a terrific value Bordeaux from this bountiful year.

Lighter red color than I expected. Kinda a dark rose color. Nose is pencils and damp granite gravel river bed. And cherry Coke. Flavors are very dry and the whole classroom pencil sharpener. Also has rose petals and black chocolate mixed with anise and charred meats. Hint of blood.
