Dusty gravel and black cherry on the nose. Medium-full bodied with tart cherry, plum, gravel, baking spices, and a tannic leather finish. A slightly acidic start ends with a smooth finish.

Superb Bordeaux. Layers of cassis and red fruit. Subtle tannins. Jumping out of the bottle. I Decanted but that didn’t even seem to be necessary. Total steal. I am going to try to get a case ASAP. Decanters 97 points are a bit high but I get it.

Nose: pepper, wet leaves, alcohol, cheap-wine-perfumy-grapiness. Mmm. I am skeptical. Taste: about the same. The watery, wet leaves character comes through more - the (black) pepper also. Pretty thin. Cherry. I’d call this generically not-quite-good red wine. 82-83. Whoever gave this a score of 97 (as proclaimed on the label) was criminally insane. EDIT: some of the comments on here sound like a patently different wine, so maybe I got a bad bottle. I’ll try to get another one and compare.

Deep earthy taste, dark ripe fruit. Needed to decant for longer than half hour. With arm roast
