St. Julien- Beychevelle Red Bordeaux Blend

2009 Clarets at tasting group last night, blind. One of my favorites. Spearmint, spice, chocolate/coffee. Green notes. The most lively in the mouth with nice acidity, dark red fruit.

Lovely balance. Nice red plum fruit on nose, palate and moderately long finish. Velvety and delicately balanced. Very nice wine.

Good fruit and tannins. Overall I felt it lacked structure yet a decent finish with leathery notes with licorice and plum. I think this wine has quite a bit of Syrah and for me that's not one of my favorites.

Still very young.

Dans le style du millésime avec cependant une buvabilité surprenante. Boisé fondu et intégré belle longueur.
