This was throwing surprisingly much sediments. I'm a BIG fan of 2001 Bordeaux but was hoping for a bit more from this producer.
I know the general consensus is that unfiltered wines per definition are better but I personally think this could've benefitted from a (slight) filtration. A super solid wine that is easy on the wallet and still very recommendable.

Well done, matured beautifully and still needs time. Deep dark red, nose full of coffee, tobacco, cherries, cassis, dirt and cigar box, full body, rich, ripe, firm rich fruity tannins, good acidity, long chewy finish and a lasting smoky note. My score 91, drink to 2023

Took a little time opening up. Earthy, herbal nose over red fruits. Tobacco and a tiny bit of leather. Bright acidity. Tannins almost resolved; on its way out but still enjoyable.
