Sweet tobacco notes interspersed with woodsy mushrooms, warm rye bread with toasted sesame and grill notes. Cherry and baked currant tart. Silky soft cherry open reveals exquisitely suspended smoke framing black cherry and cedar dusted black currant and dried blackberry with sage and nutmeg.

Blackish purple robe, nose of cigar box, asphalt, blackcurrant and a hint of black pepper and spices. Medium bodied and very velvety, good length. Ready now but no rush. A really good bottle from a vintage we dont particularly like.

We had the 2010 Vintage on 4/5-6/20. A flowery bouquet. Raspberry, cherry, and a sweetness on the palate. A nice wine with an Old World feel.

This was great tonight. Still wound up and needed time even after a double decant. Very ripe fruit and great presence. More years will do this well.
