Vintage 2000 / mocca autumnleaves spicy and strict

Very good 2000 cru bourgeois. Aged v. Well. Compared to Leoville Poyferré just slightly less fruit but lot if body. Great buy if you can find it!

A 20 year old wine from a good vintage is always less about fruit and more about terrior. This wine has a cedar and tobacco nose with currant and oak carrying through to a long finish that asks for another sip. There are still some tannins which provide structure. This is French Bordeaux not grand but certainly delicious.

Drank with the family on Christmas Eve. tannins and fruits still doing their job. quite respectable for a non-grand cru.

Nicely aging Bordeaux blend. Fine value. Complex terroir, Berry, wood nose; balanced; nice structure; long fruity finish, with Cabernet favors. 2000 vintage.
