Château d'Armailhac
Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend
Side by side with the '95 this was a bit tighter than expected but still delicious

Aug 20th, 2016The nose and palate are simply unmistakably left bank Bordeaux! Went down so well and was constantly positively evolving in the glass. Could have drunk two bottles alone while contemplating life.

Apr 18th, 2022Certainly classic aged Pauillac. Not really a decant necessary. Definitely smell the age. Mouth filling with great body throughout. Tannins starting to fade. Good acid. Excellent with a steak with a mushroom brandy sauce.

Feb 26th, 2018Nose: Funky green/pepper and cooked fruit. Taste: light tannins, nice clean finish, white pepper, cherry. TWS tasting.

Oct 30th, 2017Honestly, pretty balanced for how much age is on it. Smooth and enjoyable.

Mar 1st, 2017Cedar, red and blue fruits and graphite on the nose, it loses some robustness and gets a little strung out with time in a decanter but the arrival of food perks it up substantially. An auction bottle which may not have been stored perfectly, this was pleasant enough but on this evidence I wouldn't be holding these much longer.
