2020 vintage. "Le Haut-Médoc revealed by Dauzac". 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The website doesn't mention this, and it's not the same blend as the Haut-Médoc de Dauzac 2020. This seems to be a line designed as a modern, more accessible take on Bordeaux ( even if they are doing a pretty good job at that with the grand vin too). This is definitely a crowd pleaser, soft and creamy, and I suspect a little residual sugar(?). Found this in a supermarket under 13 euro, which is reasonable, even if competition is stiff in Bordeaux at this price point. Maybe not the most exciting for seasoned Bordeaux fans, but this might definitely attract new customers. Abv. 13,5%.
