This is clearly more evolved than the 1999 Beaucastel CdP, but with that said, it’s still a terrific 25-year-old Côtes du Rhône, nice balance, medium-long finish, definitely mature, time to drink up!

Jul 17th, 2024Redfruits, nice acid lifts this, fully mature and is super clean compared to the gamey/leathery/slightly funky 1999 Pegau CdP, but lacks the depth or flavor interest or sheer complexity of the Pegau!!

1999 beaucastle. Wow. One of the most amazing CDPs I've ever had. Smelled of English breakfast tea. More feminine but wow a crazy good CDP.
