A 100% Syrah Cotes du Rhone. Starts with layers of aromas on the nose with blackberry bramble, dried herbs, alongside hints of clove and leather. Blends seamlessly into a well balanced palate with smooth silky tannins. Great on it's own but also was a stellar pairing with homemade beef stoganoff! [10/29/22]

100% Syrah made with fruit from each side of the Rhone River. Intense aromas of black cherry, lavender, black olives and violets. Dark raspberry and plum fruit flavors with hints of minerals and iron. High tannins but not to the detriment of this wine. Outstanding quality for the price. Revisited in September 2022. Best CDR for the price!

Tannin heavy, not much complexity or depth. A bit disappointing.
