A great step up from a village Cotes-du-Rhône! Aging gracefully. Even better than the last time I tried it.

Thanksgiving wine #1. Rich, bramble fruit, a touch of tannin. Alcohol seemed a little out of balance.

One of my favorite Rhone producers. Dark fruit, spice, meat. Very Northern Rhone, like a St. Joseph. Well balanced and excellent pair with pan seared skirt steak.

Smooth, rustic, and dangerously easy drinking. Not surprising given the old school wine making techniques, whole clusters are fermented and then macerated before 18 months in a concrete or oak vats prior to being bottled unfiltered. Dark berry and floral notes with hints of baking spices and smoked meat. Great showing.
