Really engaging nose. At first this was disappointing on the palate, but with time complex ripe berry fruit and garrigue notes emerge. This bottle is a touch maderized, a little sweet and on the verge of soapy on the palate. Transparent color and resolved tannins.

Intensely aromatic on the nose and deep and mouth coating on the palate. Kirsch cherries, black cherry liquor, lots of exotic spices and purple flowers. It’s a powerful wine and the ripeness of the vintage shows, but it still displays an underlying elegance and seductive nature that comes inevitably with anything Emmanuel Raynaud of Château Rayas, touches.

Usually love these wines but this tastes off and like it is re fermenting

You simply cannot find a better CdR. Aldditionally, you can't find more wine than this for the money.

Excellent! Cherry. Balsam. Sandalwood, a little burnt sugar.

Drinks way better than it costs. Is it really that hard to make real wine that costs $35? I'm talking to you burgundy.

Served blind by the Somm At Casanova's smelled nose of ripe strawberry and cherry with baking spices and pepper. Guessed a 2010 Cote de Rhone.

Beautiful, though mel dislikes.

Dry with some fruit. Slightly gamy. Paired exceptionally well with the tea smoked duck. Rec. by the som.
