Nice and balanced Margaux. Third growth grand cru, but somewhat falling flat compared to all the huge 15 vintages. Still a beautiful pairing with our filet mignons at Picasso.

Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, tobacco and flowers. Very light, elegant and balanced in the mouth with very polished tannins. You want more. Gets you thirsty. And goes so well with food. This is an excellent wine.

Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, flowers, tobacco, roasted peppers and a hint of spices. Very elegant and complex, balanced, medium bodied. So good with the food. Monsieur Cruse continues to do one of the best Margaux we know.

Dark purplish rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, flowers and cedar. Very complex and elegant in the mouth, velvety tannins and crushed flowers, oh so good. This is serious stuff and good now but much better in 4 to 5 years.

Not a bad Bordeaux. Probably needs a few more years. Dark cherries and shoe leather with a gravel finish

Chocolate nuance at cork. Earthy, wet leave, woody aroma. Spicy but elegant. Black currant and blue berry. Still lots of tanning. Vanilla. It is becoming better over time to 9.1, 1.5 hours later. 2014 @1215/375, xuaduo, 211207

Disappointing. Earthy barnyard notes on the nose. A hint of apricots on the front. Medium tannic structure with lots of bitter high notes on mid-palate. It finishes with an insubstantial watery ending. The ending is sort of refreshing though, because it clears out the bitter mid-palate flavors. Although there are some faint mineral flavors that linger on the back of the mouth for a minute or so after swallowing, the finish is pretty lame for a 2014 vintage Bordeaux.
