Last had about 5 years ago. The extra years were good to this overall as it is still fairly primary and it definitely needed the 3 hour decant I gave it for the tannins to even out a bit. There’s a faint mustiness that keeps this from being truly great. It’s not corked, but it still holds it back even though the fruit is just so nice. Great acid and a long finish too, tannins still quite present. Nice pairing with steak au poivre for Mother’s Day 2023.

May 14th, 2023Very, very nice but needs a lot of air or another 5-10 years. Deep red in the glass, incredibly powerful aromatics, full bodied without being cloying in the new world style. Very nice.
