On the bigger-framed and riper side, which is usually not my preferred style, but it’s pretty good nonetheless. Nose shows ripe dark fruit, and a tiny bit of dark ,chocolate, but that’s redeemed by nice dark olivey notes and deep stony minerality. Rich and very southern Rhone-like in the mouth, the richness again redeemed by the minerality. Would I have preferred they picked a little earlier? Sure. But this still is quite good. 40% Carignane, 30% Syrah, 30% Grenache.

Like the last bottle we had, this is just too hot, too ripe, and tonight is showing some VA (nail polish) as well; not undrinkable, but just OK.
