Oct 7th, 20142004 very evolved with tobacco spice cab 60 mr 33 cf pv herbal SE currant berry fruit smooth ailky texture drinking very nice finish 40+ excellent 2007 deied tobacco spice fresh earth and some currant berry fruit light smoke soft easy drinking with a soft finish 35 very good + 2010 tobacco spice fresh earth very complex bouquet lots of everything big and chewy with layers of toasty oak spice firm tannins and a healthy backbone of acidity most excellent

Slightly deeper ruby with a little narrower , less garnet rim . This is quite deep and slightly more herbal on the nose, floral perhaps , a little more austere. Spicy Cassis , tobacco , herbal touches . On the palate this is slightly more velvety with a riper dark fruits , mixed with a touch of dark cherry , spice and subtler , riper tannin . Quite ripe , more polished tannin. A bit bigger and riper in style , alcohol a bit more noticeable . Quite good dark cherry , dark chocolate, cassis finish . This is a little more polished , but probably needs a little more time , better in 5 years and will last well a further 10 . Overall a good showing , a classy , polished performance

Half Bottle. 30+ minute decant as there was a lot of sediment. Dark fruit and graphite on the nose. Wine is more Napa than Bordeaux. A lot more oak than I was expecting but fairly refined with medium depth and floral /wood elements. Medium finish.

This is fantastic already with some air. Moderate oak, nice acid, blackberry flavor with a touch of seaweed. Long finish. Will get better. Will wait 5 years to check on the next one.
