Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend

Dk ruby almost opaque. Saddle leather, barnyard, cigar, anise, black cherry nose. Add cola, black berry in the mouth. Young and powerful in mouth. Chewy. Long finish. Needs 10+ more years

No formal notes . Medium deep garnet ruby . Quite closed at first more mineral , but with some earthy, smoky notes . A bit rounder on the palate , earthy , with some cassis, red pepper , truffle notes , tobacco. Good acidity and quite gritty tannins still . Showing really well , bit more linear and strict, but enough substance and good tobacco, mineral tinged length. Drink now with a decant and over the next 5 perhaps 10 years .

25 years on and this wine, after decanting is harmonious, rich, lush and velvety smooth. You think of mature, cellar worthy wines and what they can achieve and this is a fine example of first growth expectations. Bravo

Très grand vin! Pas si complexe que ça mais un nez parfait d’une grande classe! On retrouve du végétal très fin, une pointe de tabac, de belles notes secondaires. Et dire que ça n’est que le début de son apogée! Vin impressionnant de facilité
