Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend

An off-vintage, but still Haut-Brion through and through. Gravel, cedar, smoky tobacco. Drink now.

Wow. Juicy. Delicious. Ready to go.

A prefect Claret color, intense but translucent ruby. The aroma is noticeable from the hip, flowers like violets, sweet cedar, mature plum and cassis rise effortlessly from the glass. The palate is strength without effort, superb length, freshness and purity.

The north fared far better in 2002. Beautiful nose, but a simple palate reminiscent of a blending component.

Lacking fruit and depth. Better than 02 Mouton but damning by faint praise

2002 vintage...profound tomato leaf, graphite, old leather, cassis, wet tobacco... Silky yet firm on the palate. A little taut but still drinking so well right now. Really, a treat.

Very soft, classic Graves texture. Slightly hollow.

Spectacular bottle. Drinking so well. I don't even like Bordeaux! ;-)
