Quite grippy. Dark gives way to red fruit. Juicy and engulfing.

Decanted. Young and light in body, just on the edge of being too tart to drink now, but with lamb and beef it shows well over 3 days. Well made. SS

I usually don’t like Bordeaux wine. Too « closed », too processed. This one is the first I think, at least lately, that I truly enjoy from the point of view of fruitiness and taste. Very cherry with a zest of spicy ness.

A pretty dark garnet with slight orange tinges on the wide rim. Highly impressive nose here with black cherries, new leather, violets, and thyme. It’s always fun when your expectations are exceeded and this does that. Mostly Cabernet Franc, it’s medium bodied with grippy tannins and nice acidity. This took a while to really open up, I decanted hard, but when it does it’s a bit of a treasure. Very clean fruit on the palate starting with plums, black currant, and cherry cola. Fresh herbs, smoky tobacco, and white pepper round this baby out. More spice on the moderately long finish. Let this sit for a while, you’ll be rewarded.
