Big impression of new oak. Vanilla, cedar, cigar box. Ripe black fruits in the background. Deep and fairly extracted for Left Bank Bordeaux.

Enjoyable and drinking well, if a little on the oaky side. Plum, black cherry, graphite in the palate with an herbal finish that folds in a dash of barrel char. A firm, taut style typical of the vintage. Good stuff.

Better on Day 2. Soft texture. Black currants, baking spice, leather, earth. A better than decent claret.

A deliciously attractive, mid to lightweight Bordeaux that boasts floral notes and berry flavors.

Excellent. Feels a bit thin, but nice light tannin and acid with a smooth finish.
