Château Lalande-Borie
Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

Surprisingly austere. Green, mean, and spicy. Nose is layered and complex. Tobacco leaf. This could use more time in terms of softening but I don’t see the vintage improving in any meaningful way.

NOSE: charcoal, wood, muted herbs, cassis and blackberry. Lavender, mint. Restrained but good.
TASTE: good! Cassis, blackberry, graphite, iron, dark chocolate, mint, wood ash. A little simpler than expected, but still very enjoyable. 91.

Interesting ratio of cab/ merlot. Light start heavy finish

Good wine overall. Good color. Good nose. Medium body, tannic, a little too acidic. Good feel on the pallet with prevalent berry flavors. Just expected more though.

Deep red, subdued nose with pepper, potato, and soil. Medium body, medium plus alcohol, not showing too much on the palate, but otherwise nicely balanced. Good, not very good.
