2017 vintage. Last tasted 3.15.22 (9.4) and 8.27.21 (9.4). A fave St. Émmie producer. Emphasizing the feminine characteristics today. Simply fab and in a great spot. 8.8.24.

Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, raspberry, forest floor, vanilla, spice and minerals. On the palate, cherry, currant, minerals, earth, light leather, dark chocolate and a long finish. Full bodied. Good tannins. Nice balance of fruit, minerals and earth. $80 at B-21.

2017 vintage. Mint/menthol. Salt water. Must and dust. These all in an intriguing nose along with a splash of paprika. Medium/medium heavy body. Really coats the palate. Fudge, plum, tea, cassis and dark cherry flavors currently chunky, primal and unresolved but still delicious. First impression: prim and proper. Second impression: down to earth and ready to boogie tonite. Turn up the volume on this rustic farm number.
