Mar 7th, 2014Violet, vanilla, black currant and very cab franc like. Dry, dark fruit, tar and silky but bracing tannins. Vanilla and pencil lead notes, fruit developed in glass.

Jan 1st, 2025Singing right now. As good a Lynch Bages as I have had. Still nice dark fruit - dark cherry on the nose and a hint of tobacco. Smooth and well balanced on the palate with an elegant, smooth, super long finish

Sep 2nd, 2024I love Chateau Lynch-Bages, and this is a very good - but not a great - one. Inky dark purple. Intense bouquet. Full mouth feel. Cassis, tobacco, leather, mushrooms, licorice, blackberries, and cedar. Strong tannins and a satisfying finish.

May 25th, 2023Always love Lynch Bages but this one is just not quite at the level I expect. Certainly quite classic, but after a 2+ hour decant just isn’t giving the depth of fruit and earth and structure that I’d expect. Still obviously a nice wine and great with a prime dry aged strip on the grill but was hoping for just a bit more.
