Black pepper and bacon fat, Chewy texture, delicious, but Rhone-like rather than Bordeaux.

Amazing earthy aromas with a generous mouth feel and the most refined tannins I’ve experienced.

2001. Delicious and smooth but still has legs -- could easily go another 15 years

Orangeish garnet color with transparent edge. Viscosity looks high. Ink like aroma. Very smooth. Enough tannin with balanced acid. Ripe black fruits flavor. Fruity taste can be felt later on and deep area. This kind of deep taste makes me calm. For 2 hours, taste was changed on 3 step. Elegant in 2nd step, Juicy and black fruits taste in 3rd step. And then, more than 2 hours decanting, ink like aroma was calm down and chocolate flavor can be felt instead. Tasting all of the time should be valuable. Seemingly, I tasted 3 bottles and reached the place where I can feel the capability of this wine. MLT60, CF30, CS10 @3680+10%, Winona, 170529

2001 was amazing out the gate--tobacco, eucalyptus, dart cherry, but faded with exposure to air. Time to drink the '01s!
