Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

A vibrant and balanced wine that pairs well with most flavorful foods. Dry, but not at the cost of fruity flavor. We found it ok to drink in between glasses of Pinot Noir and rich Cab.

Deep ruby red; dark red fruits, fleshy notes and some tar but less intense CNdP aromas than normal; taste is good with fine tannins, high alcohol that is well integrated with moderate acids and a long sweet finish; but it is not very expressive. Very "nice" well made wine, but not outstanding; it lacks character.

Nothing says Merry Christmas better than a Magnum...

Young...they were out of the '05. Winedude suggests as a substitute an '05 Washington Cab blend...uh, what part of French Grenache made you think I'd be into this tonight. ...no thank you

There is Chateauneuf du Pape , well there are many but Chateau Mont-Redon rates amongst one of the finest . This 2009 in half bottle format is a stunning example of how good this wine can be.

Imported by Kobrand. The largest single-vineyard estate of CdP, and one of only two that grows all the permitted varieties. References to this vineyard site date back to 1344.

Aged so well. Worth it.

Not overly fruit forward until it really opened up. Came in on darker fruit and high pepper and tar / liquorice. Great length. It drank too young. Needs a great many years
