2002 vintage. Throwing an absolute ton of sed. Slightly hot and salty plum nose. Medium-medium heavy body. Still plenty of grip with this warhorse. Ever so slight, port-like sweetness with the finish. More years of solid drinking ahead but feel it’s near the top of the downside and not improving further. Drink now-2036.

A bit of a thinner montelena than some of the other years we have had. Still very nice. Possible bottle condition issue - this is another one that went through sandy. Good red fruit and a nice finish with good acid.
