Château Musar
Bekaa Valley Red Blend
A touch herbal, with menthol, blackcurrant. Good grip. Always interesting.

Dec 7th, 2018Noticeably more oxidized than the 2010 with smoke accents and hints of wet concrete. Feels tighter and more acid driven despite the significantly higher ph. More perfumed and juicier on the palate than most of the others. Vintage variations at Musar are enormous, as always.

Apr 21st, 2018My first time with this. As if Bordeaux and Rioja made sweet sweet love. This would be their love child.

Aug 10th, 2017This is very young still. I would never even have guessed it is Musar. Fruit driven even at day 2 not the typical notes you find at older Musars. This is black currant all over. An interesting acidity like old balsamic vinegar.

Oct 25th, 2021There is a first for everything! Drinking a wine from Lebanon!! One of the oldest wine regions in the world. Over 2000 years old. Even referenced in the Bible (Hosea 14:7)!!! This was een excellent wine. Fresh, clean, vibrant but very dry. Strong tannins that lingered for 2 minutes. Tart pie cherry with a slight hint of orange peel??!, dark chocolate and leather. Very unique. It wasn’t a Bordeaux style nor a Rhône style. Great experience. Drinking the juice near the Land of honey and milk.
