Blend, 57% Merlot, 38% Cab Sauv & 5% Petit Verdot & Cab Franc, aged in new French oak for 18 months. Pronounced red fruit aromas with earthy spice notes. This is a very enjoyable left bank Bordeaux. Harsh on the palate with dark fruits and lots of earth and vegetable notes.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show hugh tannins.
Still young and unbalanced, but already enjoyable even by itself.
This 7 year old will need at least 5 years of bottle time to mature properly.
This is not from a good vintage, but it is showing a lot of power. Finesse will show up in about 10 years.
A blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and light Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
