Tasty, well balanced Haut-Medoc but with a weak structure.
Dark ruby color; sweet nose of red and black currant and ripe cherries, ceder shingles, pyrazines, and a perfect oak profile; palate coating and rich but the acid level is kinda low and it doesn’t carry well into the finish. Alc is 13%.

Sipping Fine Wine

Deep Ruby with a medium+ intensity of red and black fruit aromas. A high proportion of Cab Sauv, flavors of black currents, cherry and blackberry flavors with notes of espresso and cacao. Youthful big tannins with vivid acidity. Medium finish ending with fresh fruit, very good now but should improve over the next 5 years. Tasting Sample.

Fine. Not much structure or depth. Would not get again.

For the price, a stunner. Classic red Bordeaux flavors and aromas. While not too tannic and therefore quite drinkable now, I believe this wine has the bones to improve over the next decade. I say this with the benefit of having enjoyed the 2005 vintage of this same wine. Cassis, cigar box, leather and earth. Bought me an entire case of the 2016 vintage, I did.
