From team at Cheval Blanc, blend of 68% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc, aged in 500 liter barrels, 50% new. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currant and blueberry fruit with cigar box and cinnamon spice. Lively acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. Nice!

Beautiful green olive and olive tapenade , cassis , leather , earthy tobacco up front. Definitely layered nuances here. Just the right amount of acidity, smoky strawberries and forest bramble. Beautiful color. 13.5%

2016 vintage. Great, inky color. Mysterious nose not giving much up currently. Fruit-driven without many boundaries but clearly needs time...3-5 years for it to start dropping hints. A little discombobulated right now but bringing voluptuous body at least. May have some serious somethings in a few years.
