The cork was blackened and a bit raised, so I was anticipating the worst. This was the first true test for the Durand and I was amazed how it got the cork out whole. The wine had held up remarkably well. Dried apricot, touch of nuttiness, brotrytis, and still solid acidity. Finish was a touch short but otherwise excellent. Shared generously by a friend.

A lovely deep amber in the glass, mixed notes of melon, pineapple with a clean finish, had it with a savory blue cheese and honey crumble
