Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Founded in 1934, Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery in Washington with some of the most mature vineyards in the Columbia Valley. A Blend of 83% Merlot & 17% Syrah, Dark red with ripe berry fruit and spice aromas. On the palate simple flavors of cherry and blackberry, a touch jammy, with leather and cacao, sweet soft tannins on a medium finish. Some Wahluke Slope Syrah was added to enhance the wine. Nice touch and good value!

Rich dark red color, black cherry and red berry nose, cherry and redcurrant taste, medium bodied, initially ok finish but quickly turns harsh and bitter in the glass.

Drier than expected, and not the velvet I like in a Merlot, but nice.
