2015 vintage. Last tasted November 2021. FFN (fantastic effing nose). Still dry as hell. Still gigantic blueberries in the nose and flavors. Yes, the toffee and the (black) coffee hither and yon. A year and a half makes a difference as this drinks a tad more unified now. Looking for best drinking result? Dü it after 2028 till 2035. 4.10.23.

Apr 11th, 20232015 vintage. Forward deep plum and molasses nose. Medium-heavy body. The molasses and plum + orange tea, chalk dust and a slight Sauternes accent. Interesting. Seems like it’s going through some things currently but still willing to please. Likely to lose some weight and be in a slightly different place in 1.5-3 years.

Dense blackberry and strong cherry on the nose with spicy notes of mint, sage, basil, and black pepper. Later hints on brown sugar as it opens up. Nicely polished summer berries on the palate with a good tannic grip and sharp peppery spice lingering on the finish.

This is wonderful. Smooth, medium bodied, berry goodness. Drinking it near Bordeaux sure doesn’t hurt either. I would drink this over and over again.
