The 2009 Kings Row is an interesting wine with rich tobacco, cherry and licorice aromas. This has a lusciously smooth taste of the red fruit, pencil shavings with a slight hint of spices that lingers on your palate makes this a nice guilty pleasure. It is costly and a nice treat but there are others out there that have a better value to quality ratio for those that don't want to drop big bucks. As every year goes by, this wine increases the boldness in its flavor. Dark chocolate cherry with hits of vanilla leather. If there is such a thing. Fruit forward with hints of licorice as it wraps around your tongue. It will drink for 10 more years at a minimum.

Big, bold, and juicy. Plums, raspberries, blackberries, chocolate, and tobacco. Fragrant, elegant, and velvety smooth!

Dark, dark, dark with tobacco, leather and smoke from an old campfire smoldering the next morning. Enjoyed the "day after" the WNH spectacular by lounging on a windy Delray Beach and an A1A drive up through Palm Beach. Easy dinner with Checkerboard decanting at Cut 432 with @Ryan M. Great ending to a fun weekend!
