Old Calvados from a very good producer… starting to lighten in color. But intense caramel, butterscotch, and ripe red apples on the nose. Silken smooth and a long warming finish. Dangerously easy to slurp and swallow, swirl, slurp and swallow… repeat. Cold winter evening, roaring fire, 2-4 good friends… and all too soon the bottle is history. Note to self.. always have a backup!
