Normally a delicious wine this one was somehow off

07' Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona.

Pure fruited and tannic. Great years ahead.

Very solid Brunello, cranberry, cedar, good tannins.

Side by side with the Caparzo 07 La Casa. This Ciacci was definitely more powerful with new world styling ie fruit and extraction. Caparzo more old school

Nice wine with dried cherries, leather and earth. Other vintages have been stronger. Drink this one in the next couple of years...
