Really highlights the terroir/earthy side of white burgundy—which I kind of expect from Auxey. Nose has wet, limestoney Burgundian earth with a dash of pond rocks, notes of lemon oil and butterscotch, a little barely ripe peach fruit. Round and soft in the mouth, with a good initial whack, though the acids are a little lower than I’d ideally like. Satisfying that Burgundian itch tonight.
