Classic example of N Rhône Syrah - loads of black pepper and cut straw

Pepper, dark fruit and wild flower.

Picked our first estate Syrah today #harvest2015 and was thirsty for lively Cote rotie

Smoky, elegant Cote Rotie.

WON for me. Currants, cracked pepper, rocky minerality, some wild flowers in the nose too. The palate is developed but definitely young, well structured but not too bony. Fantastic clean and precise finish.

Solid Cote Rotie, with plenty of black pepper and plummy fruit and ample tannin to support aging.

Lawd!

I do love Cote Rotie.

Nice pepper and stinky barnyard - should get better with age and air
