Don Melchor Puente Alto Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Lovely balance of red and black fruit - blackberry, cassis, wild strawberry, violet, with graphite, coal ash, dried fennel and mint. Great energy and the tertiary notes of forest floor and mushroom are just beginning to show. Long finish.

Found another one of these ‘09 beauties. Deep ruby with aromas of coffee and chocolate wrapped in dark fruits. On the palate well pronounced pleasant flavors of black fruits, blackberry and ripe cherry, cassis, espresso and bittersweet cacao. The wine had plenty of oak and well-structured tanins. This wine should continue to age well. WOW!

Darn decent. Years of glory ahead of this wine.

Very balanced, smooth and savory

Anniversary wine, our last dinner at Benny's Chop House before it closes. One of our favorite wines is a great way to say farewell to our favorite steakhouse. So long Benny's, we'll miss you.

Deep black fruit. Very enjoyable. Great smoothness and depth at this stage.

I know I opened this way too early... but it's still delicious! Tart blackberries but as the wine keeps opening up its nicely mellowing.

Absolutely fantastic! As good or better than the Caymus 2011 Spesial Selection we had on my birthday.
