A Costco Houston find. We’ve tried several different bottlings from this producer and we liked this best. Of course it was the higher price point. Would buy again.

Mar 6th, 2022Enjoyable weekday wine picked up for $11.99 at Costco. A good tip I use in selecting wine at low price points is to choose an entry level wine of a top producer which in this case is Concha y Toro. Ripe, fruit forward wine with medium plus tannins and acidity. Notes of black currant, plum, warm baking spices (cinnamon) dark cocoa, vanilla bean, roasted green pepper, tobacco leaf. A little edgy and angular, but for the price point I though it was pretty well made and relatively complex.
