A great introduction to classic style. Balsamic, sweet N sour, black berry jam & tart red fruits (cranberry, cherry) . Cedar, roasted coconut, vanilla bean. Sweaty sock, old leather purse.

So fresh , super grippy. God bless CVNE. 2012. Gave it a short (1hr) decant, which Id like to think tempered its grapey-ness.

This is outstanding wine. Especially after having some lesser wine last night that I’m convinced was heavily treated with Mega Purple. This is genuine, with beautiful fruit and earth flavors, well integrated smooth tannin.
