Maya

The 2012 Maya is fabulous. Deep and explosive, the 2012 remains quite young. Black cherry, chocolate, espresso, licorice and gravel, along with the wine's natural concentration, convey and impression of virile intensity. The Cab Franc in the Maya is so appealing. Rich and fruity but also fresh, like a ripe plumb with a sprig of mint.

Aromatic lift, precision and intensity are the signatures of the 2012 Maya. Savory herbs, mint, violets, spices and red cherry jam are woven together in an intricate fabric of flavors and textures that captivate all the senses. Such a baby and shouldn't even be drunk yet. Really hasn't developed but lots of potential here. I still prefer the 2011.

Black cherry, plum, damp earth, exotic spice, roses, nutmeg. M- acid, m body, m/m+ round tannin. Black tart cherry. Complex and balanced. Long finish. Still very young.

Great stuff with a long life ahead. Just entering its drinking window.

An exquisite wine. Intense and complex. Truffles, blackberries, cassis, and cedar. What a treat!
