Dark ruby in the glass. This is a big red wine with high tannins. Berry flavors without the lingering finish. Not a lot on the nose. will certainly need to buy more.

Tight after first opening, and then an absolute marvel after decanting. Takes more than 2 hours to open up, but then it's classic Daou. Smooth, full of aroma, and just plain beautiful. Higher in tannins than the 2011 Reserve.

Apr 12th, 2015Daou has historically made some of my favorite red wines. This Cab is no exception. Not much on the nose. Deep ruby red in the glass. This is a smooth red wine with some spice on the finish. Highly recommended.

One dimensional and light/weak. Lacks fruit and character. Easy drinking but needs depth and umph.
