A classic ‘Dead Arm’ with a dark midnight black appearance giving off loads of blackberry fruit, mushroom, earth and sweet reduced brown sugar. Showing lush, full bodied and fleshy black fruits with hints of exotic spice and black licorice. Silky Tannin with just the right amount of grip, extraction and layered concentration; fans of this wine are going to like this one a lot! A good decant will provide some immediate enjoyment, but your reward will be to drink in a year or two and cellar through the next decade+.

Tart cherry exploding into a rich plum tinted juice with tannins gripping your throat for a full 60 seconds. Settling in a lingering finish.

This wine is clear and deep purple in colour.
On the nose it is clean of pronounced intensity. Aromas of dark fruit (plum, cherry & blackcurrent) as well a peppery spiciness along with vanilla, clove and a savouriness.
The palate is dry, with medium acid and alcohol. Medium but smooth tannin, medium (+) body and flavour intensity which presents the same flavours as in the nose. The finish is medium.
Although nothing stands out I think this is very well balanced and enjoyable.
