Deep purplish ruby red. A bit tight on the nose with dark gravel, baking spices and cassis. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and medium plus bodied. Balanced acidity with layers of graphite, blackberries, currants, Asian five spice, licorice and some blueberries. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2037.

It’s smiled after four hours. Never said hi. Don’t touch the bottle for another 3/5 years. I’m finding that more and more of my 2012‘s are starting to shut down. Tasting better in 2015 and 16 than they are today.
